Artwork in Progress

Mother Nature finally let me paint my "Popsicle Artwork" I posted about last week, and here are the results:

Where we left off...
Then the canvas got a couple coats of black spray paint...
After the paint dried, I pulled the vinyl letters off (slowly)...
One letter and the period off, one letter to go...
 All off...
As you can see, I did have some black paint bleed behind my vinyl. I was a little saddened by this, but I picked myself off the pity floor, grabbed some paint and a paint brush, then 'touched up' the edges as best I could by hand. All I could think about was Tim Gunn saying, "Make it work!" So that's what I did...to the best of my abilities :)

I like my 'hand painted' results (sorry no picture...again), but I am going to try my spray paint on the other two canvases. I plan to paint the blue base coat, like before, and then after adding the vinyl letters, spraying blue again (to hopefully lock the edges of the vinyl). After that final coat of blue dries, I'll paint the canvas black, then remove the vinyl letters.

I'll post again with those results.
Thanks for stopping by :)
