Happy Independence Day! We've been having a fun and lazy day here, but I wanted to stop in to tell you about the yummy lunch we had today :)
Have you been firing up your grill lately? Flipping burgers? Filling your houses or decks with the sound of sizzling bacon or the smell of sautéed mushrooms?
We don't actually have an outdoor grill, but we do fry up some tasty hamburgers every now and then. (Check out my hamburger recipe here). And sometimes we have leftover patties (with cheese, in fact)...what can you do with a cooked patty topped with melted cheese (which is now cold since it's been in the fridge for at least a couple of hours, err days)?
Make yummy Cheeseburger Quesadillas!
Gather up any BBQ leftovers: burger patties, bacon, sautéed mushrooms and onions, etc. AND your normal quesadilla ingredients: tortillas and shredded cheese. Place a frying pan on the stove over medium-medium low heat (depending on the stove).
Widget loved it -and so did me and the Hubby!
What do you make with your barbeque leftovers?
